Situation in the ATO area as of April 28, 2016
The enemy continued fire influence on the ATO forces
units. It was recorded that the adversary shelled 29 times (for the last
day – 31) from small arms, grenade launchers, IFVs, ZU-23-2
antiaircraft mounts and 120-mm and 82-mm mortars. The attacks were, as
follows: 6 attacks – Popasna, Novooleksandrivka, Luhanske, Zaitseve
(Sloviansk direction); 8 attacks – Avdiivka, Mariinka (Donetsk
direction); 7 attacks – Taramchuk, Novotroitske, Starohnativka
(Volnovakha direction); 8 attacks – Vodiane, Shyrokyne (Mariupol
direction).
It is continued firing on the ATO forces positions in the area of Avdiivka, including with the using of 120-mm and 82-mm mortars.
It was confirmed the location to tank company and howitzer SP artillery battery of the 5th separate motorized rifle brigade (Makiivka) in the area of Yasynuvata (eastern outskirts).
Next week, it is planned rotation of the units of the 11th motorized rifle regiment (Makiivka) in the area of Donetsk airport.
Other facts of weapons and military equipment, POL supplies from the territory of Russia were recorded.
They were delivered to the following towns:
Ilovaisk – echelon with weapons and military equipment (three tanks, two 122-mm MLRS “Hrad”, two SP artillery systems) and diesel fuel (350 tons);
Khartsyzk – echelon with weapons and military equipment (eight tanks T-72, four BMP-2 (IFVs) six 122-mm D-30 howitzers);
Novoazovsk – two APCs, two trucks, three fuel servicing trucks;
Krasnodon – three trucks, three fuel servicing trucks.
The Ukrainian side informed the representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine about the presence of tanks and SP artillery systems in the areas of Donetsk and Makiivka.
On April 27, 2016, other losses among the servicemen of the 1st AC (Donetsk) of the Russian Armed Forces were recorded:
four were killed and six servicemen of the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment (Makiivka) were wounded who tried to attack the ATO forces forward positions in the area of the industrial zone of Avdiivka;
as a result of “friendly fire” on own positions, three servicemen of the 100th separate motorized rifle brigade (Donetsk) received wounds.
A low level of military discipline and moral are preserved in the units and formations of the 2nd AC (Luhansk) of the russain Armed Forces.
On April 26, 2016, during the conducting of combat cohesion in the 2nd separate motorized rifle brigade (Luhansk) of the 2nd (Luhansk) of the Russian Armed Forces at the firing range “Uspenskyi”, there were conflicts between the Russian career officers and citizens of Russia from among inhabitants of Northern Caucasia who were enlisted on contract base, including the cases of intentional damage of weapons and military equipment.
In order to prevent and neutralize a possible conflict on international basis, the command of the Russian occupation forces adopted additional security measures:
a unit of the 46th separate brigade of the operational designation (Hroznyi) of the Federal Service of the Russian National Guards Forces was added to the 4th separate motorized rifle brigade (Alchevsk) of the 2nd AC (Luhansk) of the Russian Armed Forces;
a number of military police and commandants office guards was increased.
The situation at the firing range was taken over the personal control of the Corps Commander General-Major of the Russian Armed Forces Y.NIKIFOROV.
Other facts of the purposeful prevention of migration of persons who participated in combat actions within the Russian occupation forces from the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas to Russia were established.
On April 26, 2016, the employees of the Border Guard of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation forbad before 2025 entry into Russia to three men who dismissed from the 9 th separate assault motorized rifle Marine Corps regiment (Novoazovsk) of the Russian 1 st AC at the uncontrolled by the Ukrainian side “Uspenka” check point. It was found out the personal data of detained former servicemen: KORNEVOI Ivan Viktorovich (born in 1976), METKIN Sergej Vladimirovich (born in 1973), NAZAROV Vladimir Vitalyevich (born in 1990).
In view of the stagnation of the Russian economics, the Russian Federation authority reduced financial package for the needs of “DNR and LNR” population. But, according to the Russian financial analysts, such economy won’t concern a fixed sum of “acknowledgement” for Russian officials who directly influenced on appropriation and disposition of funds for the needs of the so-called people’s republics.
On April 30, 2016, it is expected inpayment of 1,1 milliard Russian roubles for social needs of the so-called “DNR”, that were appropriated under the auspices of V.Surkov, the Adviser of Russian President. Taking into account “DNR” leadership’s announces there will be spend only 200 million Rusian roubles for the needs of population. To distribute other sum (for satisfaction the personal needs of Russian and local officials), it is expected the arrival of V.Surkov under the guise of participation in May Days.
